Drug Rehab in Virginia

Privacy notice for this Virginia

What this page covers before you call

This drug rehab in Virginia guide collects a small set of details when you call the helpline, and this page explains each one before it happens. We are an information service, not a treatment provider. Reading this first means you know what a call involves before you decide anything.

The helpline is staffed by treatment advisors, not clinicians. Calling commits you to nothing is confidential and free. If there is anything you prefer not to share, you can end the call whenever you want.

You can ask what a drug rehab in Virginia helpline collects before you share anything at all.

What we collect when you contact us

We collect only what a treatment advisor needs to answer your question and, if you ask, find programs that fit. That is four kinds of information, and none of it is required to hear general guidance.

Your first name and a phone number are the basics. Insurance details are optional and only useful if you want to know which programs a plan may cover. Situation details, such as what substance is involved or how recently someone stopped drinking heavily, are also optional. If you give a callback number, we use it to return the call you asked for and nothing else.

Name, phone number and optional insurance or situation details are the only pieces a call collects.

Why we ask for each detail

Each question has one purpose, and the advisor should be able to tell you why it is being asked. A name lets us speak to the right person. A phone number lets us call back if the line drops.

Details about your insurance help organize a list of SAMHSA-listed facilities according to what a plan might pay for, though that is not a promise of coverage, and benefits cannot be confirmed here. Information about your situation helps narrow the level of care, since 50 Virginia facilities listed offer detox and 44 offer residential care. When someone drinks heavily or uses benzodiazepines, the advisor will explain that a doctor or nurse should manage withdrawal and will not offer tapering or dosing guidance.

When a caller describes daily drinking or sedative use, the advisor flags medical supervision rather than offering dosing advice.

When we share information with providers

Your details are shared with a treatment provider only when you request a connection. The advisor confirms with you first, and you can decline and still get general information.

No sale of health information takes place here, ever. We do not sell, rent or trade what you tell us, and we do not pass details to advertisers or lead brokers. A 24/7 helpline conversation stays an information exchange unless you choose otherwise.

If you ask to be connected to a program, only then do we pass your name and number to a provider.

Call recording and record retention

A few helpline calls are recorded for training and quality, and a notice plays before recording begins. If you hear that notice and would rather not be recorded, tell the advisor and the call can go on without it.

Notes from your call are kept only as long as needed to follow up on your request, then removed on a set schedule. We do not keep an ongoing health file on anyone who calls once with a question.

When a recording notice plays at the start of a call, you can ask to continue without being recorded.

Contact methods and your decisions

You can ask what we hold about you, correct it or have it removed, and the advisor will explain how. Requests are handled by the same team that answers the helpline, and you do not need a reason to make one.

This site does not diagnose anyone and does not promise admission, coverage or outcomes. For treatment itself, the SAMHSA National Helpline is 1-800-662-4357, and 988 reaches the crisis line. Questions about this notice can go to the helpline team, who will route them to the person responsible for privacy.

When you want your details removed, ask the drug rehab in Virginia helpline team and they will explain the steps.
